Free Back to School Favor Chip Bag Printable
The first day of school is right around the corner! Welcome your students with these super cute back to school favor chip bags.
I absolutely LOVE custom chip bags. They are truly unique for special occasions and I always get tons of compliments whenever I make them. This custom chip bag would make for the perfect first day of school gift favors for students or even as a gift to teachers. What I love most about this design is that it even includes two lines of editable text on the front, so you can personalize it with a special message.
Simply open in Adobe Reader, input text, save as, and print! (MAC USERS- must use Adobe Reader, Mac Preview won’t work)
So, if you already know how to make chip bags and just want the design, scroll to the bottom and grab it.
If you don’t know how to make chip bags, read below for instructions. If you are a more visual learning, scroll pass the written instructions and watch the video tutorial I created. (Awww, don’t you just love differentiated instruction).

1. Print
- Print on glossy brochure paper like this
2. Trim
- Trim the excess white margin from the top and bottom (leave the sides). This is the paper cutter I use in the video, but I also use this, which is less bulky.
3. Apply adhesive
With image face down, apply double sided adhesive across the top and bottom and down the right side.
4. Fold & Seal
Make a gate fold (without a hard crease), adhering the right side to the left, overlapping the white. Next, seal the bottom. Start in the middle and work your way out, making sure the edges are aligned.
5. Fill & Seal
Now fill the bag with small toys, trinkets, sweets or even a snack size bag of chips. Once filled, seal the top, starting in the middle and working your way out. Again, make sure edges are aligned.
Go the extra mile, by squeezing the sides and crimping the top and bottom to give it a more finished chip bag look. The crimper I have creates wavy lines, but I plan on getting this one soon to create straight crimps.
How easy was that?!
